So many pictures, so little time!

The weather here has certainly not been great lately, but we've done our best to still get out on the weekends and enjoy the outdoors and some family time. Last weekend we hung out in downtown beverly and went to an art fair & walked along the beach and that. It was a nice day. That was last saturday...sunday it rained all day. This weekend was fun too. Saturday we went to Newburyport and did their open gallery tours. Free food and wine...need I say more? They have a cute playground there too that Kaelyn really enjoyed. Today we went to the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. We used the passes the library loans out...what a great program! You can reserve passes for pretty much any worthwhile museum in the area. I got passes reserved for the zoo in a couple of weeks...it gets us in free! Can't beat that - I just hope the weather works out. Next weekend we're still debating if we want to go to the Boston Pops 4th of July celebration - we may do the 3rd instead. You still get the music, just no fireworks which I'm sure would scare Kaelyn anyways. However, all the crowds may scare us all.
These are from today. Do you notice our late June winter-like clothing? This is ridiculous...but we insisted on eating outdoors & defying the weather. We're rebels. It was high 60's and dreary.

I thought these monkeys were cool at the Peabody Essex Museum. I was getting strange looks though. Can you find me?

Kaelyn dressing herself in (clean) laundry. It allowed me to eat my lunch in peace, so I didn't really care. She kept putting my underwear over her head.

What a look.

Saturday we went to Newburyport for the open gallery tours. We got free food & wine, and Kaelyn got to play on the playground. A great day for all.

Kaelyn spent the whole time at the park climbing UP the slide.

Every now and then she'd go down too.

I love this picture.
This one's a cutie too.
Her and another little girl were racing up the slide. They both had the same fascination with it.

Kaelyn still puts everything in her mouth. This is the lid to her pots and pans set. She just kept crawling all around with it looking like a wierdo...that's why we love her!
Just chillin out with a lid sticking out of her mouth.
" What are YOU looking at?"
Last weekend we hung out in downtown Beverly for most of the day. We had some gelato here while Kaelyn napped.
These are out of order. This was the day my mom got into town...we were in Marblehead checking out fort Sewell.

Here's the progression of Kaelyn climbing up on the kitchen table. Notice how Barry gets pictures of the whole thing, proving that he did nothing to stop it. This is her new "naughty" face.
Does anyone notice me up here yet?

Well, since I'm here I might as well redecorate. I don't like these placemats here.
I'll just toss them on the floor. No one will care. Viola!

When Kaelyn doesn't want to listen anymore, she just puts on her headphones.

We had just brought this box in, and next thing I know she's on top of it and ripping off all the tape. When did she turn into a little monkey?

I'm just kickin back after a tough day...underneath the dining room table.

She repeated this cycle over and over!

Sorry this is sideways...but it's really cute.

catching up again

You know, if I just posted more often, it wouldn't be such a daunting task when I finally sit down to do this. But you know me, big procrastinator. Anyways, here are a bunch of pictures that are fairly recent...all from the past couple of weeks. I'm still missing florida pictures because I waited so long to post them, barry has now uploaded them onto smugmug & they're no longer on our camera. So, to check those out, go to our smugmug account. There's some really great pictures of us on the beach hanging out with kaelyn, and some where she's covered in sand - I'll have to put them on here at some point.

Better watch that door, now she knows how to crawl out of the house!

I put this picture on here just to compare what she looked like right around this time last year. What a difference! Man, I WISH I could just leave her on the bed in the bumbo seat again. I didn't know how good I had it.

On her 16 month birthday, she got a shiny new "cozy coupe". Already on the phone & behind the wheel...figures.

who should I call?

Barry & Jon redid the inside of our garage. It had some mildew issues & we were told to spray it down top to bottom with bleach. This is Barry getting ready to tackle that.

Wow, this is such a hot look.

In true redneck fashion, we put our sofa out on the corner to sell it (it had been in the garage!). It sold in a few hours - what should I put out there next? So much to choose from.

Remember when I said Barry loves to spackle. Case in point.

She's got the keys, but didn't have a car to go with them yet...now she does.

She wanted to pretty up grandpa with her lipstick.

She found someone else to do a makeover on. I love this! Notice her bracelets too and her purse. Yes, I'm really pushing the gender roles.

These pictures are from mother's day. We went to rockport for the day & had a great time.

Crawling around rockport. Like her bracelet?

We were at a birthday last weekend at the park & it rained a little bit. But when it was over, this is what we saw. It was so beautiful. You can't really make it out here, but the rainbow repeated several times & we could see both ends of it. Very cool. There was a leprechan too...but no gold.
Kaelyn in her backpack. She actually likes this thing...for now.
At wingersheek beach.

Russell Orchards. No that's not a beer, it's cider. No, this was not intended to hold my weight.
Wishing it was a beer. Where's that leprechan?

This is the first time she ate from a fork. I just put food on it & she put it right in her mouth like she had done it a hundred times before. She's a quick study.

Behind the wheel of her new car for the first time.
